Toellner increases analog control option on power generators

Feb 19, 2009 5:02 PM

Toellner Electronic Instruments has increased the bandwidth of the analog control option on its 8810 series of programmable arbitrary power generators to 70 kHz for improved simulation of noisy environments for electronics in vehicles. The firm and its distributor, Global Test Solutions, noted that with the increased amount of electronics in vehicles, and research into alternative types of power, the ability to simulate all aspects of electrical energy in a system is required at every phase of design and production.

Besides offering predefined standard pulses, the 8810 Series can generate completely arbitrary power curves, including standardized test voltage profiles and custom patterns. The 8810 Series also outputs dips and drops, load dump pulses, and other complex voltage variations.
