SiRF Technology Holdings said that Renesas has licensed SiRF GPS baseband IP blocks to add location-enabling to Renesas’ SH7775, a SuperH system- on-chip (SoC) for high-performance car information systems (CIS). The contract offers SiRF entry into the automotive market in Japan.
