Report predicts top five automotive electronics products for 2010

Lane departure warning systems top Strategy Analytics' list of "The Five Hottest Automotive Electronics Systems of 2010." Other technologies with a Hot Product Factor (HPF) ranking include adaptive front lighting and blind spot monitoring, according to Ian Riches, director of the firm's automotive electronics service.

The report also identifies "least wanted" technologies for 2010, with the bottom-most being conventional keyless entry systems. Riches says they are being replaced by passive entry systems "and by 2010, demand for the old systems will be starting to drop off."
