Aug 16, 2007 2:04 PM

Fairchild Semiconductor has opened a Global Power Resource Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., to meet automotive industry requirements for functional power solutions.

“The growth of automotive power electronics and the higher growth rates for body electronics and emerging systems are driving the need for innovative functional power products as well as expertise in system-level understanding to optimize designs,” said Paul Leonard, vice president of Automotive Products. “Our new Michigan Global Power Resource Center provides customers with technical experts who can help them select or develop the right solutions for their designs.”

Fairchild offers products from 1 W to 1200 W for maximizing energy efficiency in automotive electronic applications including power management, body control, motor control, ignition and engine management, and electric and hybrid electric vehicle systems. At the Michigan center, Fairchild engineers will work directly with customers to design and optimize power management and control solutions.
