Strategy Analytics ranks Freescale No. 1 – again Jun 5, 2008 6:33 PM Strategy Analytics’ 2007 Automotive Semiconductor Vendor Market Share report names Freescale as the number one supplier to the automotive industry for the 17th year in a row. According to the report, the global automotive semiconductor market grew by 9.2% in 2007 to $19.3 billion. Freescale holds a 10.3% share of that market and a 21.4% share of the automotive semiconductor market in North America. The firm claims a 45% market share in powertrain microcontrollers and shipped more than 30 million Power Architecture MCUs for that application. |
