DoE appoints DaimlerChrysler exec to Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Committee

The U.S. Department of Energy has appointed Mark Chernoby, DaimlerChrysler vice president, advance vehicle engineering, to its Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee, which meets twice a year to advise the DoE on program goals and policies. Chernoby will communicate developments in advanced fuel cell vehicle engineering within DaimlerChrysler.

DaimlerChrysler said it has spent more than $1 billion in fuel cell vehicle research and development and has driven two million zero-emission miles. Its fuel cell vehicle fleet includes research vehicles, medium-duty Dodge Sprinter vans and Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses.
