DoE appoints DaimlerChrysler exec to Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Committee Jul 20, 2006 2:47 PM The U.S. Department of Energy has appointed Mark Chernoby, DaimlerChrysler vice president, advance vehicle engineering, to its Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technical Advisory Committee, which meets twice a year to advise the DoE on program goals and policies. Chernoby will communicate developments in advanced fuel cell vehicle engineering within DaimlerChrysler. DaimlerChrysler said it has spent more than $1 billion in fuel cell vehicle research and development and has driven two million zero-emission miles. Its fuel cell vehicle fleet includes research vehicles, medium-duty Dodge Sprinter vans and Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses. |
