Location-Based Services (LBS) supplier deCarta has launched a real-time, two-way European connected navigation (CNAV) solution, including software and service, for personal navigation devices (PNDs) and smart phones as well as to automotive OEMs, in-vehicle service providers, mobile network providers and handset manufacturers. The firm has also introduced its NavSearch API connected navigation software platform plus a reference architecture and selected applications.
Drivers using deCarta’s non-branded LBS services can send addresses to PNDs from a computer, receive optimized routes based on current traffic conditions, search the Internet, and drive to selected locations using the shortest route.
