Clarion PND accesses Clear Channel real-time traffic

Clarion Corporation of America has begun shipments of its N.I.C.E. 430 (Navigation In-Car Entertainment) portable navigation device and optional NAVRDS accessory for accessing Clear Channel Radio's Total Traffic Network service. Total Traffic Network offers information on traffic flow and incidents in 80 metropolitan areas across the United States.

The Clarion device features a 4.3-inch color touch screen, built-in Bluetooth, a SiRF III GPS receiver, and an SD card slot for picture viewing and MP3 music file playback. Navigation features include maps of the United States. and Canada, three million points of interest, 2-D and 3-D map views, turn-by-turn voice announcements, automatic route recalculation, dynamic volume, a cockpit mode with ETA, and dynamic 3-D map zoom and tilt.
