Boost Mobile launches mobile navigation service

Sep 26, 2007 11:51 AM

The Boost Mobile division of Sprint Nextel Corporation has launched Boost Navigator, a mobile GPS navigation service powered by Telmap that provides audible turn-by-turn walking and driving directions directly from their Boost Mobile phone.

The service offers unlimited routes for $1.99 per day, $3.99 per week, $9.99 per month, or $24.99 for three months. It will be expanded to include intelligent routing, taking into account time of the day, traffic and weather, customized points of interest, route gifting to friends and family and a complimentary WEB planner.

“In a national study it was identified that when it comes to the features Americans would like to add to their cell phones, the desire for maps tops the charts,” said Craig Thole, Boost Mobile director of value-added services.

Boost Mobile customers with a GPS and Java-enabled iDEN or CDMA handsets can download Boost Navigator at www.boostlive.com or text NAV to BOOST (26678).
