Analog Devices expands Blackfin processor line Dec 7, 2006 4:42 PM Analog Devices Inc. has added the four-member ADSP-BF54x family to its The ADSP-BF542 is available at 400 MHz, 533 MHz and 600 MHz and ranges from $11.95-$15.65 in 10,000-unit quantities. The ADSP-BF544 ($13.25-$15.35) is available at 400 MHz and 533 MHz, the ADSP-BF548 ($15.95-$17.95) at 533 MHz and 600 MHz, and the ADSP-BF549 ($18.58) at 533 MHz. John Croteau, general manager of Analog Devices’ Convergent Platforms and Services Group, said the ADSP-BF54x family doubles Blackfin’s internal bus bandwidth of to 532 MB per second, and the new devices include up to 260 Kbytes of on-chip memory. On-chip peripheral options include high-speed USB on-the-go (OTG) with integrated PHY, an ATAPI controller, and a NAND flash controller. Up to 152 general-purpose I/O ports are supported, as is an MXVR (Media Transfer) interface that integrates automotive telematics and infotainment systems with vehicles through a MOST network.
