Apr 26, 2007 11:56 AM

A major vehicle manufacturer has awarded contracts to Behr-Hella Thermocontrol Inc. to design and produce a distributed heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) electronic control unit that will work with the vehicle’s center stack console, which contains the HVAC human-machine interface and displays. BHTC is a joint venture between Behr GmbH & Co.  and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co.

BHTC produces controls for the Mercedes-Benz G-, M- and R-Class vehicles and climate sensors for DaimlerChrysler. The firm plans to relocate its North American headquarters from Plymouth to Troy, Michigan.
