National Semiconductor integrates audio in wireless systems

Oct 26, 2005 3:44 PM

A new analog IC from National Semiconductor Corporation, CP3SP33SMR, performs key functions of the audio signal path for Bluetooth and other wireless systems, telematics platforms, and automotive multimedia gateways. It integrates the complete audio path–-industry-standard DSP core and high-performance analog–-and connectivity modules including CAN, UART and USB 2.0.

"This embedded device combines an integrated analog audio path with customary automotive connectivity modules for better overall system optimization and faster turnaround time,” said Pat Sullivan, product line director for National's Device Connectivity Division.
