John Day is a Michigan-based freelance journalist focused on product design and manufacturing technologies in the automotive and consumer electronics industries, among others. He worked for Computervision in the early days of the CAD industry, covered Route 128 for Electronic News, and then spent a number of years as a public relations consultant with an agency in the Boston area, and his own firm in Atlanta. He was also a senior editor at Electronic Engineering Times, responsible for news and feature coverage of the semiconductor industry. John earned APR accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America, and is a founding member and past president of the Southeastern Software Association. He has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts English from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in journalism from Penn State.
